Non-woven materials, some combinations of polyethylene and cotton and a lot of other materials (paper etc.) are suitable for sterilization process. Your decision should be based upon the qualities and purpose of the package: should it be waterproof? Disposable? Recyclable. Define your needs and the material suitable for sterilization will be found as well.

Dear Alberto,

May I advice you to take also into account the newer mattress and pillow covers? These are made of PU and PVC coated textiles and are waterproof and breathable. If necessary chemical and thermal (max 95°C) disinfection can be applied. For more information I refer you to Sioen Industries, the market leader in this field: www.sioen.com
Follow: products, coating division, healthcare poducts, mattress protectors, pillow protectors. Sioen Industries only does the manufacturing of the coated textiles, not the confectioning.

Good luck,
Wim Renders
