Subject: EN 13795 / Time frame for removal of reusable linen from sets/packs

Hi,

Following on from Anthony Mc Loughlin's question Q00240 re 'time frame for removal of reusable linen from sets/packs' (February 2003), can anyone let me know where we stand in Ireland at this present time on prEN 13795 (surgical drapes and gowns)? Marc Corthals answer to Mr Mc Loughlin discusses EN 13795 and stated that Part 1 was in its final phase. Has Part 1 now been implemented and is it true that the document has reduced from five parts to three parts. Who could I contact with further queries that I may have on this directive?

Regards,
Grace Gregan

Dear,

EN 13795 - 1 General requirements, was accepted in the autumn of 2002.
You can find the information you're looking for on the website of our industrial partner Molnlycke: www.thestandard.molnlycke.net

Best regards,
Wim Renders
