Subject: General view on low temperature sterilizers which employ ozone as the biocidal agent

We are planning to equip a new surgical support facility in the US. Since most of the opinions we get here tend to be somewhat parochial, we would be interested in hearing the European perspective.

What is the general view of the emerging low temperature sterilizers which employ ozone as the biocidal agent? What are the advantages, what is the down side.

Thanks and regards,

C. Holmes, RN

Dear,

Mr Louis Laurin of TSO3 presented the Ozone sterilizer at the EFHSS Conference in Turkey (May 2004).
This method looks promising but we need more data on validation, compatibilities, incompatiblities e.g. in order to form a founded opinion.

Best regards,
Wim Renders
