Hello,
I work as microbiologiste in Romania and I need help for an autoclave report validation. Please, if you want to explain me how to interpret a log reduction in steam sterilization.

Dear Dana

Imagine that the microorganisms are like a bunch of grapes. A steam wave comes and kill 90% and they fall. 10% are left. A second steam wave kills again 90% of the 10%. (1% is left). The 3rd wave will kill 90% of the 1%. and so on. A change (reduction) of 1/10 is defined "log" (logaritm).
