Statim is a NON pre vac cassete autoclave, which has been approved by several medical equipment manufacturers. Before deciding to use it, consult your manufacturer whether your devices are compatible with Statim. More information about may be obtained from: http://www.scican.com/canada/medical/statim_faq.html.

Hope it helps

Dear,

Unique about Statim is that these are cassette sterilizers.

Scican has 3 different types:

  • Statim 2000 and 2000S
  • Statim 5000 and 5000S
  • Statim 8000B

Statim 2000S and 5000S offer prEN 13060 compliant S type cycles. These are not pre vac cycles. Pre vac sterilizers anyway are better. Statim 8000B offers prEN 13060 compliant N, S and B type cycles. (B type cycles are pre vac cycles).

The type of the cycle determines the packaging and what kind of instruments you can reprocess. An overview of the prEN 13060 with the type of instruments you can reprocess in each cycle you can find on www.skarhamn.getinge.com/e_eurnorm.htm.

Dear Wim

If Statim are not prevac sterilizers what are they?
are they approved for use in opthalmics, dentistry and orthoapedic? if yes from where.
besides the cassete, is there any other major advantage?
i am looking for a fast sterilizer for endoscopes, dental hand pcs, opthalmic instruments.
please let me know if you know of any other sterilizers similar to statim in technology or process
or are there any other sterilizer maybe different technology and process and can be compared.

STATIM 2000 and 5000 Cassette Autoclaves

These countertop steam sterilization systems' unique cassette technology provides 6 and 9.5-minute sterilization cycle times for unwrapped instruments. They require no special electrical connections or plumbing, and use minimal utilities. The one-touch microprocessor keypad uses universal symbols. STATIM systems are ideal for point-of-use sterilization.
