Subject: Manual cleaning of surgical instruments

I have worked in a CSS dept. for 13yrs. I just became a supervisor.
I am looking for a back up P&P if washer/sterilizer breaks down and we have to wash instruments manually. Any help would be appreciated.

If it is necessary to manually clean surgical, you will want to avoid excessive handling of the contaminated instruments. An enzymatic cleaner like Endozime AW Triple Plus with APA will be ideal, as the instruments will only require soaking and rinsing. It has a no cloud formula and rust inhibitor. www.ruhof.com
