Subject: Compatibility of EAW

Hello

I need to know that endoscope from wich manufacturer (Olympus, Pentax, Fuginon) confirmed to disinfect by electrolyted acid water (EAW). My department plan to replace glutaraldehyde with EAW.

Dear,

preliminary test with EAW have pointed out an high degree of incompatibility with insertion tubes of endoscopes. Final test results will be available in coming months

to answer your question, the company Fujinon issued already in the Year 2001 a full compatibility approval to disinfect Fujinon endoscopes in EAW generated by the Cleantop System. In adddition are PMS studies and experience reports on compatibility of flexible endoscopes available. For further information please contact
