#1 When was the first steam autoclave used

#2 where is the best place to place an indicator with-in a set of instruments that is to be wrapped and autoclaved for future use?

  1. The first autoclave was invented in 1884.
  2. The chemical indicator should be placed in that area of a package considered to be the least accessible to sterilization agent penetration. That area may or may not be the center of the package.
