Subject: Duration of air sterilization of operating theatre

Our operating theatre's sizes are 4x7x3.5m, equiped with two UV bulbs of 40W installed 3 m above the floor on side walls. The switch of the 2 bulbs are installed outside of the op. theatre.

Questions:

How many hours the UV lights must be on for optimum sterilization of the room in order to get an optimum result of the bactericide or spores killing effect of the UV lights?
Would you recommend to switch on the UV lights during day time if the operating theatre is not in use?
