Subject: Sterilising department

I would be interested on knowing whether anyone knows of any standards or articles relating the use of latex free gloves for sterilising departments in order to avoid the latex proteins presence in the sterilised instruments.

Thanks very much.

I am unaware of any articles related specifically to our field, logic tells us that as there is evidence in other areas related to latex allergy that this would also apply to us. Certainly we have moved all staff that were historically required to wear latex gloves to an alternative product in my department.
