Dear Sir/Madam

It would be appreciated if you could kindly advise me about Biological Test for dry heat sterilizer.

Dear
The spore used for testing dry-heat sterilizers is Bacillus atrophaeus(formerly known as Bacilllus subtilis). It is recommended to run a spore test with each load.
Kind regards
Josy Holdener

Dear Rouhi

I agree with the answer from Josy - however the use of a biological indicator in every load is a matter for debate - as is the case with steam sterilization - in many countries around the world current practices include the use of biological indicators as part of your validation and re-validation processes but does not form part of your load control - the inclusion of a good quality validated chemical indicator is prefered.

Regards
Peter
