Subject: Decontamination test

I am very interested if anybody can recommend me any test to evaluate the decontamination capacity of an enzymatic detergent.
Do you know any method or where I can consult?

Many thanks,
Susana Morera

Dear Susana,

Please read in the Education section of this website: The Sterile Supply Cycle: Cleaning - Quality control for cleaning. This chapter describes different methods and devices of decontamination evaluation.

Hi Susan
some of enzyme based detergent are falsely labeled, so the best and accredited method to evaluate enzyme activity and concentration is the enzymatic lab. method using the appropriate substrae and temp. concentration, and time drug quality control can do that. after that u can do some suitability or validation tests on your daily activity, take care to choose the right enzymes with the right ratio and activity according to the dirts you want to remove, DONT pay extra money for an enzyme you dont need. LET your water at 37 NEVER above
BEST REGARDS
