Croatia is in Southeastern Europe, bordering the Adriatic Sea, between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Slovenia. With a total of 2,185 km land boundaries, Croatia shares borders with Bosnia and Herzegowina (932 km), Hungary (329 km), Yugoslavia (254 km) and Solvenia (670 km). Croatia's territory is geographically diverse; there are flat plains along the Hungarian border, low mountains and highlands near the Adriatic coastline, and Croatia has also islands in the Adriatic Sea.
