As to my knowledge, formaldehyde sterilisation is no longer a method that is recommended and is in use in the EU countries. I would appreciate if someone confirm or deny this information and explain why.

Dear Ilija,

The answers on questions on sterilization with formaldehyde in the low temperature sterilization category will clarify already a lot. (see questions: Q00011, Q00112, Q00116, Q00125, Q00138, Q00226, Q00232, Q00323)
